Photography Portfolio Review with Ed Kashi

Alongside his exhibition, installation, and academic panel at the Kurdish Studies Conference, American photojournalist, filmmaker, and educator Ed Kashi led a special photography workshop and a handful of individual portfolio review sessions.

These sessions offered emerging regioanl photographers the opportunity to present their work, receive direct feedback, and engage in discussion regarding artistic talent, photography, and the overall role of archives.

Since the 1990s, Ed Kashi has been documenting Kurdish photographic archives across various parts of Kurdistan and Europe. A longtime member of the VII Foundation, one of his notable works includes the Iraqi Kurdistan Flipbook. His work has been published and exhibited worldwide, receiving numerous international awards, and he is the co-founder of Talking Eyes Media.
