Öykü Tekten, Pinsapo Press, Christopher Merrill, the International Writing Program at Iowa, and Sarah Gale, Archipelago Books spoke together on the Literary Translation in Publication panel, moderated by Shook, Phoneme Media/Deep Vellum and Kashkul Books. They discussed how international presses evaluate submissions from Kurdish literature, the reception of Kurdish writers and their work outside of Kurdistan, and the resources translators from Kurdish need to connect with non-Kurdish publishers.
