Visit us at our main office on campus, Building V, at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani.   Reach out to us and we will arrange a time to meet with you at our workspace, among students, visiting scholars and artists, and an extended community of writers, poets, musicians, and craftspeople. We love coffee, and we love a good variety of tea in the company of guests. If you ever find yourself wondering to bring with you, flowers make us smile, and sweets are said to be the perfect companion to good tea.   This is where you will see our dynamic ecosystem at work, and get a glimpse behind the scenes of our curatorial planning for current programs and upcoming events.

We have a space at the Slemani Culture Factory with Balinde Poetry, where we hold workshops, in-conversation sessions, open conversations, and other forms of gathering that we’ll develop gradually with the space. Here, we are building a library of selected books by our Writers and Scholars in Residence, alongside artworks we cherish, as well as Kashkul Books and Balinde publications.   This space is an open gathering place for everyone. We build and maintain the space, but anyone can make use of it as a warm setting to gather with their community and thought partners.
