Fatma Savcı is a Kurdish poet and writer. Imprisoned in 1992 for her political activism in Turkey, she began writing poetry during her incarceration. Her works have been published in various Kurdish literary journals and featured in collections such as Women's Voices from Kurdistan. Savcı's poetry collection Bîra Birînê (2010) received critical acclaim.

Choman Hardi is a poet, translator and scholar. She teaches English and gender studies at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS). She founded the Center for Gender and Development Studies at AUIS, which initiated the first gender studies minor in Iraq. In 2023, she was awarded the Franco-German Prize for Human Rights and the Rule of Law.
